Dillon Guitar Serial Numbers

Pretty sure se's arnt chambered body either. And until they prove it to me, i refuse to believe they are mahagony!I noticed one thing about the SEs which i don't like. They have a much thinner body compared to 'proper' Les Pauls AND the body is not carved, which is probably why they are lighter. Having said that, I remember someone tolling me that all USA PRS have thinner bodies compared to a Les Paul, which is why they came up with the McCarthy (same thickness as the Les Paul) to take on the Les Paul head on.So there you go. That's why the SEs are lighter. The Bodies are thinner and non-carved as compared to Dillions which have the same body thickness as a Les Paul AND is a carved top.

Fs2004 - aerosoft - mega airport frankfurt. Hamer started as a small company and grew boutique-ish while PRS started as an individual-boutique-ish thing and grew to a full-fledged production 'factory'.Based on current roster of guitars, they do have a couple of guitars that we can have a shoot out with. I will no longer comment on specifics here (telling the truth gets some people mad) but I will clear a few things up for you.Our Dillion guitars are not made in the same factory as Agile. All of our Dillions are made in one small independent Korean factory except for a recent one time run of 3 models(the Jr, the chambered LPs and the SG) made in China under the supervision of our Korean factory. This was the first and only time that we had Dillions made outside of Korea and it was done so we could offer Dillion guitars at a lower price point.

The Chinese ones are all Africian mahogany, body and neck. Unlike Epi they do not have any type of mahogany veneer on them to hide the actual wood or number of pieces used. The Canadian distributor is the originator of Dillion guitars (we're going back to 1996 here) no longer supplies guitars to the US distributor so you can now consider them separate entities.Dillion Canada, as it is now known stands behind all of its guitars and offers a limited lifetime warrantee on all guitars that we sell.

We do not support US Dillions in any way, shape or form. / i gotta say, that chambered lp gutiar is one of the best lp type bodies i've tried!but maybe thats my bias coz lp's weight scares me a bit. But those chambered bodies are freaken light. I would say at max, they weigh in at about 5 lbs(though JSD's website said they are in at 7.). And the tone to it is incredible. Not really an lp tone, as it is chambered, so it makes everything bright and more acoustic sounding.i dig.though not the color. I wish it came in either a blueish quilt top, or white and/or black.
