The method is quite simple: !This is how you write it! It gets to be more complicated than raw damage. I'm with you on the aesthetics, but two weapons in KOTOR is always superior to having just one, except in some very particular cases. I'll try to break it down:Single-saber is the most accurate of all.

The primary advantage is that the attack modifier will always be highest with a single saber. You are most likely to land a hit with a single hilt.Double-blade does the most raw damage.Dual-saber has the advantage of customization. With both other setups, you're limited to two crystals, but with two sabers, you get four. That means you have more options as far as adding a crystal that stuns vs. One that does damage. One advantage to single is that you get three extra feats. To effectively go dual, you're going to need the two-weapon fighting tree to be effective.

You can invest in dueling instead, but with dueling you're already more accurate than dual-wielders. Also, those feats arguably get trumped by others such as lightsaber specialization, toughness, or conditioning. One way to make up a bit of the handicap is to invest in the Force Speed tree to add attacks per round. You can also use flurry to add yet another attack per round. You might also consider power attack in order to maximize the damage you're doing with your one blade. All that aside. KOTOR is your adventure.

Play it how you want. Make it your own.

People really love the idea of playing with dual weapons. It just seems to either give them an extra sense of power, or it just looks plain cool. To me it was cool because I never had the chance to play a video game where that was possible while growing up. Single weapon use was all you got it seemed like (or I just never ran across it until 2003 when Knights of the Old Republic was released. So what about the idea of using weapons that are designed as two-handed weapons as a one-handed weapon? How about using two of those at the same time, like using two double-bladed lightsabers at the same time, one in each hand? If that sounds cool, read on.Gavroche brings us the option of using two-handed weapons as a one-handed weapon while making so you can use two two-handed weapons at the same time.
